Ordering and Payment
Payment of a deposit of £200 will reserve a timeslot for your chair to be made.
Approximately 8 weeks before your timeslot we will check you are still happy to go ahead with your order and we will request that full payment for your chair, and shipping costs if applicable, reach us before the beginning of your timeslot.
Assuming we have your payment before the start of your timeslot we will begin making your chair at your allotted time. If your payment is late and your timeslot has passed your chair may be delayed.
We will notify you as soon as your Orkney Chair has been completed, normally at the end of your timeslot, and arrange a suitable delivery time with you.
We accept payment by cheque, bank transfer, Visa Debit. We also accept payment by credit cards Mastercard and Visa but please note due to high costs charged by Mastercard and Visa we have been forced to make a 3% surcharge on balance payments by these credit cards. There is no surcharge for paying the deposit by Mastercard or Visa, just the balance payment.
If you wish to cancel your order of your chair:
• Before your timeslot your deposit will be returned to you.
• Within your timeslot your deposit will be retained but any balance paid returned.
Special Commissions Cancellation
• If you cancel a special commission your deposit will be retained even before your timeslot has began.
• If you have paid the full settlement for your special commission and work has been started we will retain your full payment until we complete and are successful in finding a buyer for your special commission. If we are successful in selling your special commission we will return your balance immediately minus your deposit.
